Agriculture Undersecretary Ernesto Ordoñez has reportedly resigned from the Arroyo Cabinet but denied he did so out of frustration for not having ever been appointed to the helm.
A dzMM radio report said Ordoñez, Department of Agriculture undersecretary for operations, prefers to directly extend his expertise to organizations of farmers and fishermen instead of staying longer in government service.
Ordoñez, who also served as undersecretary in the Department of Trade and Industry during the Aquino administration, said he believes his decision to quit his post is his way of helping the majority of farmers and fishermen.
