The theme of this years series is "The Great Philippine Collections." This will cover photographic images, books, paintings, archaeological artifacts as well as the experience and memories of those who accumulated them or of those who are now in charge of them.
The speaker for Jan. 12 will be John Silva, senior consultant at the National Museum. His talk, "Collecting Filipiniana Photographs," will delve into the history of photography in the Philippines and touch on his and partner Jonathan Bests personal collection of over 2,000 photographs, accumulated from all over this world over a period of more than 20 years.
