P10,000 for returning OFW

A Filipino machine operator in the Mariana Islands came home for the holidays and found himself P10,000 richer.
Juluis Elejorde, 34, from Angono, Rizal, was handed the check upon disembarking from an Aseana Airlines flight at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport yesterday.
Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) administrator Wilhelm Soriano welcomed Elejorde as the lucky overseas Filipino worker for the day.
The lucky OFW said the added bonus would go a long way in making his family of four happy this Christmas.
Elejorde was among the several returning OFWs who won the daily major cash prize as part of the Pamaskong Handog para sa OFW from the government.
Dubbed as the unsung heroes for helping shore up the Philippine economy through their dollar remittances, the OFWs get a royal welcome from the government whenever they arrive for the yearend holidays. Rey
