Garchitorena, Badoy bury hatchets

-
Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Francis Garchitorena and Associate Justice Anacleto Badoy Jr. have agreed not to file charges against each other, according to a colleague at the special anti-graft court.

This is so as not to further aggravate the situation, said Fourth Division Chairman Narciso Nario Jr. who was present during a noon-time meeting between the two feuding justices yesterday.

But when asked to comment about the matter, Badoy refused to say a word.

"I’m sorry but I have to abide by the Supreme Court order not to say anything," he said.

Garchitorena was unable to comment.

Nario said the two justices were civil during the meeting although they did not shake hands.

The Supreme Court had earlier given the two 48 hours to file charges over the allegations they made against each other last week. Rommel Bagares
