Estrada bets using stolen funds

Senatorial candidates of former President Joseph Estrada are using money the disgraced leader allegedly stole from public coffers or siphoned from his cronies, Makati Rep. Joker Arroyo said yesterday.
"Nandoon sa kabila, sa opposition ang nakaw na yaman. Ginagamit nila sa kampanya. Yung (Estrada) crony wealth, napupunta sa kanila (The opposition is using ill-gotten wealth in its campaign. Crony wealth is flowing to them)," he told radio station dzRH.
During the entire interview, Arroyo derisively referred to Estradas Puwersa ng Masa as the Partido ng Pera ng Masa.
Arroyo is a senatorial candidate of the ruling People Power Coalition (PPC).
He said it is very easy for voters and the people in general to see who has the money.
Arroyo said one proof that the opposition Puwersa ng Masa is awash with money is the type of planes Estrada and his candidates are using.
