MANILA, Philippines- The latest movie adaptation of "Hercules" will focus on the hero's story after the 12 labors.
After Hercules (Dwayne Johnson) embraced his identity as the son of the highest god Zeus, he would once again forgets about it to take another path as a mercenary. Still, he wont' be able to completely turn his back on his identity and his part in the myth.
The benevolent ruler Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules' help to defeat a savage warlord who is causing terror in their lands. With his heart set on redeeming himself and protecting the people, Hercules has no other choice but to live the identity that he tried so hard to leave in the past.
Joining Johnson in this film are Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan and John Hurt.
“Hercules†is directed by Brett Ratner and will be in Philippine cinemas on July 23.
