MANILA, Philippines- An adaptation of the biblical passage about the great flood, the film “Noah” retells the story of Noah’s Ark.

Through dreams, God told Noah, played by Russel Crowe, of his plan to wipe out all living things on earth with a great flood.

To save his family and to fulfil the Creator’s command, Noah builds an ark. He is supported by his family Naameh (Jennifer Connelly). Ham (Logan Lerman), Shem (Douglas Booth), Japeth (Leo McHugh), and his adopted daughter Ila (Emma Watson).

However, before he could finally build the ark, Noah and his family have to face Tubal-Cain, played by Ray Winstone, and his flock.

Tubal-Cain and his men would then try to take over the ark from Noah's family to save their own lives.

The making of the film, which started in 2012, was postponed when typhoon Sandy hit America, E! Online reported.

But the wait won’t be long as the Darren Aronofsky directed film will open in cinemas March 28, 2014.
