TWG gitukod aron motuon bahin sa solid waste management

CEBU, Philippines — Ang mga gisugyot nga polisiya, programa, proyekto ug investments sa solid waste management sa Cebu ipaagi na sa teknikal nga evaluation ubos sa bag-ong Technical Working Group (TWG) nga gitukod sa Cebu Provincial Solid Waste Management Board (CPSWMB).

Gipahibalo sa official page sa Cebu Province nga ang TWG gitukod pinaagi sa CPSWMB Resolution No. 2026-02 nga gisagop niadtong Agosto 19, 2026, sa Provincial Capitol.

Usa sa mga tahas sa grupo ang pag-evaluate sa mga gisugyot nga inisyatiba alang sa ecological solid waste management sa dili pa kini ikonsiderar sa CPSWMB ug sa Executive Committee niini.

Ang TWG maghatag og technical expertise sa nagkalain-laing aspeto sama sa scientific, engineering, environmental, planning, legal, financial ug administrative matters nga may kalabotan sa solid waste management.

Apan gipatin-aw sa resolusyon nga ang TWG dili hatagan og policy-making o executive authority. Ang papel niini mao ang paghatag og technical recommendations, analyses, studies ug advisory support aron makatabang sa CPSWMB sa paghimog mga desisyon.

Lakip sa mga responsibilidad sa TWG ang paghimo og technical studies, policy briefs, position papers, engineering assessments, feasibility studies ug uban pang technical recommendations alang sa board.

Motabang usab kini sa pag-andam, pag-update, pagpatuman ug pag-monitor sa Provincial Ecological Solid Waste Management Plan, lakip ang pag-review sa ecological solid waste management plans sa mga local government units (LGUs).

Ang grupo maghimo usab og technical monitoring, compliance assessments, inspections ug performance evaluations sa mga solid waste management program sa mga component cities ug municipalities.

Ang Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) maoy chairperson sa TWG, samtang ang Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) maoy vice chairperson. Ang PENRO usab ang magsilbing secretariat sa grupo. Apil sa mga miyembro ang Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO), Provincial Health Office (PHO), Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO), Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), Provincial Budget Office (PBO), Provincial Legal Office (PLO), Provincial Information Office (PIO), Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) ug Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

Apil usab ang mga representante gikan sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ug Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), ingon man ang League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Cebu Chapter, usa ka accredited environmental NGO, recycling o waste management industry ug academe.
