MANILA, Philippines — Award-winning filmmaker Erik Matti was selected to be part of the jury for this year's International Emmy Awards.
Matti confirmed his participation in the International Emmys by posting a juror title card and the organization's logo on his Instagram account.

"I am honored. Thank you, International Emmys," Matti simply wrote in the post's caption.
Among those who congratulated the director were Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ruby Ruiz, Janno Gibbs, Lotlot de Leon, Janine Tugonon, Donna Cariaga and Phoebe Walker.
Actress Dimples Romana previously served as a juror for the International Emmys in 2020 and 2022.
Matti's "On the Job" was nominated for Best TV Movie or Miniseries in 2022. The award went to "Help" from the United Kingdom.
In 2016, the soap opera "Bridges of Love," starring Jericho Rosales, Paulo Avelino and Maja Salvador, was nominated for Best Telenovela, while Jodi Sta. Maria was nominated for Best Actress for her role in the show "Pangako Sa 'Yo."
Last year, Germany's "The Empress" won Best Drama, while the United Kingdom's "Derry Girls" and India's "Vir Das: Landing" were joint winners for Best Comedy.
