MANILA, Philippines — Celebrity couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil have reportedly parted ways, Liza’s former manager Ogie Diaz said on his YouTube vlog yesterday.
According to him, Enrique still wanted the relationship to go on even from a distance, but it was allegedly Liza who decided to end it to focus on her Hollywood dreams.
Ogie enumerated some “signs” that the couple was heading to Splitsville.
Last March 30, Enrique’s birthday, Liza also did not greet her boyfriend on social media, Ogie said.
Moreover, Enrique did not know that Liza returned to the Philippines recently, Ogie said.
Ogie is yet to confirm if a third party is involved in the split, saying: "'Yan ang hindi natin alam."
Fans of the couple’s LizQuen love team have been criticizing Jeffrey Oh, chief executive Ooficer of the talent agency and record label handling Liza, Careless, for being close to the actress.
People really change and they should be open to changes. Anyway, sana hindi totoo," said Ogie.
Regardless of what he heard, Liza’s former talent manager is still hoping that the couple could still get back together or separate amicably.
Sayang, ilang taon din sila, eight years. Sayang din 'yun di ba?" Ogie noted.
“Kaya lang siyempre ganoon talaga, kung totoo man na wala na sina Enrique at Liza, ang importante naman lagi sa relasyon ay nag-end up kayo as still friends, kung 'di man friends ay mag-end up kayo na civil with each other.”
Ogie said he is very sad for the couple, but he hopes that they release a statement soon.
"Kung totoo man po, isa po akong nalungkot, wa echos kasi I'm rooting for both of them na ang ending nila kasal kasi alam ko kung gaano kamahal ni Quen si Liza, ganoon din naman si Liza ka Quen. Pero siyempre itong case na 'to, hindi natin alam kung ano 'yung rason ng kanilang split up. Pero wala pa namang announcement so 'yun ang ating aabangan."
Enrique and Liza have not yet commented on Ogie’s revelations as of press time.
LizQuen first rose to fame in the hit TV series "Forevermore" in 2014. This was followed by "Dolce Amore" in 2016, "Bagani" in 2018, and "Make It with You" in 2020.
They also starred in the movies "She's The One" (2013), "Just The Way You Are" and "Everyday I Love You" (2015), "My Ex and Whys" (2017) and "Alone/Together" (2019). — Video from Ogie Diaz Showbiz Updates via YouTube
