MANILA, Philippines — Multi-platinum selling pop artist Andy Grammer is now in Manila for a special and intimate concert on June 7 at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan.
In a press conference prior to his concert, Grammer was asked for his choice of National Basketball Association (NBA) team, since his concert coincides with the NBA finals.
“Man, I’m almost kinda pulling from the Cavaliers right now because LeBron (James) is so out of his mind,” shared Grammer, the first male pop star in a decade since John Mayer to reach the Top 10 at Adult Pop Radio on his first two singles.
“Keep your head up, bro!” he told James when asked for a message for his favorite Cleveland Cavaliers star.
Since basketball is Grammer’s sport, he said he loves going back to the Philippines because it is “a basketball country.”
Six of Grammer’s hits are certified gold or better. His debut album featured the platinum singles "Keep Your Head Up" and "Fine By Me."
His second album, “Magazines or Novels,” featured the triple-platinum infectious smash hit "Honey, I'm Good," which was one of the best-selling songs of 2015, and the certified gold anthem "Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)."
Andy’s third full-length album, “The Good Parts,” was released on December 1, 2017. The record includes his global smash hit single “Fresh Eyes,” which has become a streaming phenomenon with over 300 million total streams. The album also includes the catchy summer jam featuring LunchMoney Lewis, “Give Love,” as well as his new hit single “Smoke Clears.”
