MANILA, Philippines — Pia Wurtzbach and Steve Harvey finally meet again, and it seems all is well between the two after the TV host's Miss Universe gaffe.

The reigning Miss Universe appeared on the Monday, January 18 episode of "Steve Harvey," almost a month after the 64th Miss Universe pageant and Steve's now-infamous mistake of announcing Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia as the winner instead of Pia.

"I'm so happy to be here now because everybody has been asking me as well. 'Have you spoken to Steve?' 'When are you gonna be on the show?' 'When are you gonna see him again?' That's like the million-dollar question everybody's been asking me," Pia told Steve on his show. "And now, I'm finally here with you face to face."

"What were you thinking when I came back on stage," Steve asked Pia during the interview portion of the program.

"When I was called first runner-up I was thinking, It's okay Pia, you made it this far... To be first runner-up is already a big deal," she said.

Pia added: "Of course, when you announced me as the winner, I was very excited, I was very happy... I guess it was mixed feelings as well because I was concerned for Miss Colombia."

Asked what Pia was feeling when she stood next to Ariadna, she said: "I tried to keep a safe distance from her as not to disrespect her."

"I didn't want her to feel bad. I was being sensitive to her feelings," she also said.

To this, Steve said, "I felt horrible for (you and Ariadna). I am truly sorry."

"Really, I wish we all could have gotten it right that night," he added.

Pia hopes she would get the opportunity to tell the people "my life back in the Philippines."

"I do hope I inspire a lot of people that people could throw stones at you but... I read this quote, 'A real queen knows how to make an empire with the same stones thrown at her'," she added.

She then told Steve, " You too, Steve! Don't beat yourself up for this anymore. Let's all move forward. Let's just be happy."

"You're an absolute class act," Steve told Pia.
