MMFF 2015 earns over P500M in 5 days

MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Film Festival has revealed the four movies that are leading in terms of the box office from December 25 to December 29.

According to a post in the MMFF official Facebook page, the four top earners in the film fest so far are, in no particular order:

  • My Bebe Love
  • Beauty and the Bestie
  • Haunted Mansion
  • ?#?WalangForever?

The four other entries in the film festival are "Nilalang," "All You Need is Pag-ibig," "Honor Thy Father" and "Buy Now, Die Later."

From December 25 to December 29, the festival has earned P547 million in the box office.

The MMFF did not reveal the breakdown of the entries' box office figures.

In the MMFF 2015's four-day ranking (December 25 to December 28), "All You Need is Pag-ibig" is part of the festival's top four earners, which means the "#Walang Forever" may have benefited from the awards it received during the festival awards night.

The MMFF is marred with controversy this year as "Honor Thy Father" was disqualify in the Best Picture category of the film fest.

"#Walang Forever" won the for festival awards Best Picture, Best Actor (for Jericho Rosales) and Best Actress (for Jennylyn Mercado) on Sunday.
