‘Black book’ for young men

MANILA, Philippines – Lay preacher and new author Jeremiah Paul “Jpaul” Hernandez recently launched a book titled A Young Man’s Manual to a Successful Life. With a black book cover with just hints of white and red, Jpaul presents this as the latest “little black book” for the everyday guy.

A Young Man’s Manual to a Successful Life starts with the author’s eye-opening story — how he decided to be better than a mere rebel, failure and drunkard. Jpaul encourages young men to step up and become the best man they can be in the future. The chapters discuss the struggles of boys today such as family, relationships, bad habits, decision-making and reaching one’s goals.

The stories narrated are mostly from Jpaul’s experiences as a struggling adolescent, a time when he felt unworthy. He then reveals the secrets of becoming successful, as he likened a great man to a fearless lion. The book tackles about man “caves,” “manbits” (man habits) and more men jargons one can learn from.

The book is also inspired from the Bible verse 1 Kings 2:2 “Take courage and be a man.”

Published by Shepherd’s Voice Publications, A Young Man’s Manual to a Successful Life is now available at National Book Store and other leading bookstores nationwide. Or you may order directly at 725-9999, or buy online at www.kerygmabooks.com.
