MANILA, Philippines – Adele is back in the music scene after taking a short hiatus.
“I’m sorry it took so long, you know, life happened,” said Adele in a letter she posted on her Facebook account on Wednesday (Philippine time).
Her last album, “21,” was released in 2011 and described it as a “break-up record.”
“I’m making up with myself,” she said about her new album. “Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.”
The 27-year-old singer said that “turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk.”
Adele is the singer behind hits such as “Chasing Pavement,” “Turning Tables,” “Someone Like You” and “Rolling in the Deep”
