Enrique Gil for CloudFone

MANILA, Philippines - Enrique Gil (photo) is the latest celebrity tapped by homegrown brand CloudFone to be part of its family. The actor joins Xian Lim in the company’s roster of celebrity endorsers.

The mobile technology giant is celebrating its third year in the business with a slew of activities and promos. The brand also plans to extend its reach to the youth — one of the strongest markets in terms of technology use.

“CloudFone constantly aims to be on the pulse of the market, and we believe that Enrique embodies the qualities that resonate with our youthful more tech-savvy consumers,” said Eric Yu, president of CloudFone Philippines. “With his vibrant personality and passion for excellence, Enrique represents the best things CloudFone devices can offer such as variety of choices and specs, innovation, and reliability.”

Enrique, 23, starred in the TV series Forevermore and the movie Just the Way You Are. He was also named the 2014 Most Promising Male Star of the Year.

His active lifestyle is a perfect reflection of the dynamic and technologically-inclined lifestyle of today’s youth. The star is expected to bring in a younger demographic for the brand in time for the roll out of its new devices, which are specially designed to enhance users’ enjoyment of mobile apps and social media platforms.

Enrique recently headlined the last leg of CloudFone’s nationwide mall tour, which also featured Xian and Jason Abalos. The two-month mall tour was part of the brand’s efforts to show its appreciation to its consumers who have supported CloudFone over the years.

A total of 113 stores in 30 malls in 19 cities (which include Baguio, Tarlac, Clark, Manila, Quezon City, Bohol, Lucena, Albay, Naga, Bulacan, Laguna, Marikina, GenSan, Tacloban, Cebu, Dagupan, Batangas, Davao and Mandaluyong) were visited by the brand’s ambassadors.

CloudFone is also offering a special price-off on its product line. Consumers can now enjoy as much as a 25-percent discount on selected smartphones and tablets.
