MANILA, Philippines - Who will vie for the coveted blimp in a year marked by a slew of first-time celebrity nods? Fans have voiced their favorites as Nickelodeon announces the nominations for the 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. With four new global categories and one new Favorite Chinese Act category for Asia added, this year’s new nominees include Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith, Angelina Jolie, 5 Seconds of Summer, Channing Tatum, Meryl Streep, Meghan Trainor, Chris Pratt, Fifth Harmony, Echosmith, Jessie J, Liam Hemsworth, Elle Fanning, Imagine Dragons, Kira Kosdearin and Laura Marano.
The show premieres in Asia on Monday, March 30 at 6 p.m. Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards will be a global event with localized international categories. In the Favorite Asian Act category, Daniel Padilla (photo) is up against JKT48 (Indonesia), Jinnyboy (Malaysia) and Tosh Zhang (Singapore). Fans can help Daniel win by tweeting messages cheering on their idol, using the hashtags #KCA and #VoteDanielPH.
