Ogie and OPM greats at the Philippine Arena

MANILA, Philippines - Watch out for the concert that is destined to make a mark in Philippine concert history: Ogie Alcasid gathers the best Original Pilipino Music (OPM) stars and performs the biggest OPM songs in the biggest dome in the world. Ogie presents MuSIKATin: Musikang Sikat Sa Atin at the Philippine Arena.

The concert will celebrate the best of OPM from the last five decades — from love songs, folk, rap, rock ’n roll to novelty and dance music. Joining Ogie are Hajji Alejandro, Rey Valera, Michael V, Angeline Quinto, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Gloc-9, The Dawn’s Jett Pangan and Verni Varga. Says Ogie, “It’s an honor and a privilege to be given the chance to stage MuSIKATin at the largest dome in the world. For one night, we pay tribute to the music of the Filipino nation.”

Musical director is none other than Maestro Ryan Cayabyab who will also be conducting a full orchestra. Overall concert director is Paolo Valenciano.

MuSIKATin will be staged on Feb. 20, 8 p.m.
