MANILA, Philippines - Philippine bet Mary Jean Lastimosa’s Miss Universe journey continues.
The North Cotabato native made it in the top 10 of the 63rd Miss Universe pageant, held at the Florida International University in Miami, Florida.
Also making it in the international beauty contest’s top 10 are:
- Miss Jamaica
- Miss Columbia
- Miss Ukraine
- Miss Argentina
- Miss Spain
- Miss Netherlands
- Miss Venezuela
- Miss Australia
- Miss USA
Lastimosa is one of the early favorites of the competition, following the Miss Universe preliminary show last week.
Her outfit during the prelims’national costume segment received flak from Filipino netizens. But it seems like it didn’t affect Lastimosa’s chances to win the crown, which has been elusive for the Philippines since Maria Margarita “Margie” Morgan’s 1973 Miss Universe win.
