MANILA, Philippines - RTL CBS Asia Entertainment HD recently announced that it has secured exclusive regional pay TV broadcast rights for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, more popularly known as the SAG Awards. It is the only televised awards show to exclusively honor actors. RTL CBS Entertainment HD will air the awards ceremony live tomorrow, Jan. 26 at 9 a.m. (8 a.m. Jakarta/Bangkok).
The SAG Awards presents 13 awards rewarding best performances in films and TV productions in a fast-moving two-hour show. The awards focus on both individual performances as well as on the work of entire ensembles of drama and comedy series and film casts. Other highlights include the SAG Life Achievement Award presented to an established performer for fostering the highest ideals of the acting profession, and tributes to the varied talents of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
