MANILA, Philippines — Angeline Quinto, Erik Santos, and Jed Madela are just some of the Kapamilya talents that will participate in the Papal Visit on January 15 to 19 in Manila.
Erik Santos feels honored to be part of the Mass on January 18, Sunday in Luneta where he will be singing the Responsorial Psalm, according to a "Bandila" report on Tuesday.
Angeline Quinto and Jed Madela, meanwhile, will perform for the Encounter with the Youth at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Sunday.
Angeline believes many Filipinos will be touched again with the Pope's visit, like in previous years when Pope John Paul II and Pope VI visited the country.
She also plans to bring along her mother. "Sinasabi ko nga sa kanya, 'Since hindi pa kita nadadala sa Vatican, Ma, isasama na kita sa pagpunta ko kay Pope Francis sa UST,'” she said.
Meanwhile, the “The Voice Kids” winner Lyca Gairanod and runner up Darren Espanto will also be part of the Papal visit by singing “Tell the World of His Love,” which was the song for the World Youth Day and Pope John Paul II's visit in Manila in 1995.
Lyca will be performing at the mass in SM Mall of Asia Arena, while Darren will be singing in UST.
