MANILA, Philippines - Iconic Tony Award-winning original star Lea Salonga graced the Broadway stage and stunned everybody with her unbelievably flawless performance.

As part of the 25th year of  Alain Boublil and Claude-MichelSchonberg's Vietnam-set musical Miss Saigon, a special celebratory gala performance was held on September 22 at the Prince Edward Theatre in London’s West End.

The event featured the casts of the new production alongside the stellar set of original stars including Lea Salonga, Simon Bowman and Jonathan Pryce who reclaimed their roles as Kim, Chris and The Engineer.

Salonga's appearance at the close of last night's show left the crowd in awe when she performed “The Movie in My Mind” with fellow Filipina talent Rachelle Ann Go who played this year’s Gigi.

The original production of Miss Saigon opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in September 1989. Salonga was just 17 when she was cast as Kim, outcompeting 1,000 girls to the coveted role in Sir Cameron Mackintosh's production. She went on to win the Olivier Award for best actress in a musical and to star in the Broadway production.
