Daniel Matsunaga wants to be a naturalized Filipino

MANILA, Philippines - Brazilian-Japanese model and Pinoy Big Brother All In Big Winner Daniel Matsunaga (photo) wants to obtain Filipino citizenship through naturalization, he reveals in Tapatan Ni Tunying airing today at 4 p.m. on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.

Daniel also intends to convince his family in Brazil to live in the Philippines.

“I’m planning to bring my whole family here. I want to stay here for the rest of my life,” Daniel says. “I’m just waiting for my father to retire from his job. He said maybe after two years,” he adds.

The model, who is also a professional football player, says he wants to join Azkals to play for the Philippines.

“I’ll try to enroll in Azkals. I really want to be part of it. Every opportunity that God has given me in the Philippines is amazing. I never had this in my entire life so I really love this country,” Daniel says.

Amid criticisms that he did not deserve to win the hit reality show Pinoy Big Brother because of his citizenship, Daniel reiterates that he considers himself a true Filipino.
