MANILA, Philippines - Janice Javier (photo), the R&B diva and finalist from Season 1 of The Voice of the Philippines got the audiences in awe during her successful concert held last July 4 at Teatrino, Promenade Mall in Greenhills. Aptly titled The Voice of Janice Javier: Live in Concert, her powerful voice took center stage all throughout the show with fellow The Voice finalist Myk Perez as her guest.
Produced by MCA Music, the night started with Janice singing some groovy songs such as I’m Coming Out, I Gotta Feeling, Born This Way and Price Tag. The next song came in naturally just as its title suggests. She also performed songs from her musical idols such as Aretha Franklin (Natural Woman, Chain of Fools, Respect) and Whitney Houston (The Greatest Love of All).
Janice further displayed her versatility with her ’80s medley (Head Over Heels, Always Something There to Remind Me, Footlose, and Sometimes a Fantasy) where the crowd went wild, got on their feet and danced as if there’s no tomorrow.
Since the concert also served as her album launch, she performed songs from her self-titled debut album like her single Never Knew Love (Until I Met You), Why Can’t It Be, I Believe I Can Fly, Imagine, Breathe, He’s Out of My Life and the most applauded Heaven Knows and Starting Over Again which was used in the trailer of the hit movie starring Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga.
