MANILA, Philippines - GMA Network stars Carla Abellana, Mikael Daez and Andrea Torres lead the second Cambodia Star Tour in Phnom Penh to entertain Kapuso fans.
Organized by GMA Worldwide, Inc. (GWI), the network’s content acquisition and distribution arm, and Cambodia’s No. 1 TV network, Cambodia Broadcasting Service (CTN), the tour includes a TV appearance on The CTN 21 Show, the country’s most popular talk show.
Yesterday, the stars participated in a charity concert together with other international artists at the Chenla Theater, for the benefit of the children of Kantha Bopha Hospital. The charity concert was organized as a tribute to and birthday celebration of Cambodia’s King Norodom Sihamoni.
Cambodian fans of Mikael, Andrea and Carla will also have a chance to meet and greet them at a mall show in Sorya Shopping Center today.
This is Andrea’s first Cambodian Star Tour, it will be Mikael and Carla’s second visit to the country as they were the network’s representatives during CTN’s 10th anniversary celebration last March 2013.
Since 2008, CTN has been a partner of GMA Network and its subsidiary GMA Worldwide, Inc. in bringing Kapuso programs to a wider audience in the region. GMA dramas such as Losing Heaven (Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit), Amaya and My Beloved have been well-received by viewers in the country. CTN’s most recent GMA title acquisitions include Temptation of Wife, Forever, Magdalena and Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga.
