What really happened between Anne and Sam?

Curtain-raisers:

Confirmed: A sexy star and her basketball-player husband have formally called it quits three weeks ago, putting an end to their seven-year childless marriage.

I’m happy for my friend…let’s call her Miss After Dark…who, I heard, has found a new love in the person of a suave five-star-hotel manager whose name sounds French (codename: Lover Boy). Miss After Dark is separated from her non-showbiz husband. The latest word is that Mr. Lover Boy will be assigned to Dubai. So, will Miss After Dark be shuttling between the Philippines and Dubai to answer the call of love?

Viva sources said that Diary ng Panget (starring Andre Paras, Nadine Lustre, Yassi Pressman and James Reid) is predicted to gross around P200M during its entire run, judging from its opening take yesterday.

Two Filipino directors are sitting as judges in separate international film festivals — Erik Matti as member of the International Jury Awards for Long Films at the 28th Festival International de Films de Fribourg (awards night on April 5) in Switzerland in which Eduardo Roy Jr.’s Quick Change is competing; and Lav Diaz at the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival’s Short Film Competition (awards night on April 7). The HKIFF declared March 30 as Philippines Day as tribute to the victims of Yolanda.

According to the PEP “breaking news,” Anne Curtis rushed from hosting the 2014 Bb. Pilipinas pageant Sunday night at the Big Dome to Vice Ganda’s birthday party at 71 Gramercy (co-owned and co-managed by Raymond Gutierrez) where she confronted Sam Concepcion (boyfriend of Anne’s younger sister Jasmine Curtis-Smith) who was standing at the balcony area(?), asking him a series of questions: Why are you here, who invited you? You are not classy enough to be here! Bakit mo niloloko ang kapatid ko?

Funfare sought the reaction of people close to Anne and those close to Sam. (Incidentally, Anne also has a Sam in her past…Sam Milby.)

“I talked to Anne,” said somebody close to Anne, “and she was honest enough to say that all she did was ask Sam why her sister is having a problem with him. But Anne denied having said to Sam all the things that came out in the news and social media. Sabi pa nga ni Anne, ‘After what happened (at another bar involving John Lloyd Cruz’s group), I’m not crazy to commit the same thing again.’ Anne was just being protective toward her younger sister.”

Did Sam really leave 71 Gramercy in tears, as per the PEP report?

“No, he wasn’t crying,” said somebody close to Sam, “although mangiyak-ngiyak siya dahil napahiya siya.”

Beyond that, Sam’s camp preferred to keep mum.

“No comment na lang,” added somebody close to Sam.

So what could be the problem between Sam and Jasmine? Uhm, selosan daw. It wasn‘t clear who is jealous of whom.

Moral of the story?

Well, when you party, just party. Don’t bring out any issue so as not to spoil the party. Hindi maGanda. Is it, Vice?

Incidentally, Anne is all set to rock the Smart Araneta Coliseum with her The Forbidden Concert: AnneKapal on May 16, a production of Viva Live and Annebisyosa Productions Inc. (For tickets, call Ticketnet at 911-5555 or Viva Concerts at 687-7236.)
