MANILA, Philippines - Aklan native Ladylyn Riva (photo), candidate no. 39, is 26 years old. This “Lady†is a registered nurse, a freelance make-up artist and a model.
Lady, as she is fondly called by family and friends, is considered a dark horse in the pageant because she has already won beauty titles, among them as Miss Casino Filipino. She competed at the Bb. Pilipinas Beauty Pageant 2011 and made it to the semi-final round.
Lady says should she win, it will be in honor of her late grandma who raised her and taught her to remain positive no matter what happens.
