Matteo Guidicelli: ‘I'll do anything for love’

MANILA, Philippines – How far would actor Matteo Guidicelli go for the sake of love?

“I'll do anything for love. If I love the person, I would fight for what I think is right,” he said during the finale press conference for the ABS-CBN soap opera “Galema: Anak ni Zuma” on Tuesday, March 11.

Although he is yet to open up about the issue, Matteo is rumored to be in a relationship with Sarah Geronimo.

There have been rumors that the 23-year-old actor had a falling out with the singer-actress amid speculations that Sarah’s parents are against her alleged relationship with the actor. However, Matteo remains mum on the issue.

“Rumors are always rumors. Basta everything is positive and I try to keep it positive,” he said.

Matteo added, “Everything’s okay, everybody’s happy.”

Asked if he is “closer than ever” with Sarah right now, the “Galema” star said: “Everything is good. We’re good. Everybody’s happy.”

‘She looks hot’

Meanwhile, it seems Matteo approves of Sarah’s new short hair. The Kapamilya singer went public with her new bob cut hairstyle for the first time last week.

This is after rumors came out that Sarah cut her hair drastically short as a form of rebellion against parents Divine and Delfine. According to reports, the singer has been wearing hair extensions the past weeks.

“Sarah’s never looked as beautiful as today, di ba? She’s very beautiful with her short hair. She looks good and I’m proud of her,” Matteo said of Sarah’s new hairdo.

Regarding rumors that the haircut is a form of rebellion, Matteo said: “I don't know. Like all of us, we say and I say she looks hot. She’s very beautiful.”

Matteo and Sarah have been rumored to be a couple since middle of last year, yet the two have consistently refused to talk about the issue.

The actor spoke to the press to promote the last three airing weeks of “Galema: Anak ni Zuma.”

The afternoon soap opera, which stars Andi Eigenmann as the titular Galema, will air its finale on March 28, Friday. 

What will the show’s two main characters work on when “Galema” finishes its run? While Andi is all set to star in the upcoming television remake of Mars Ravelo’s “Dyesebel,” Matteo said he’s gearing up for the third season of the reality-based children’s competition I-Shine Talent Camp.
