MANILA, Philippines – “Basta what we want naman is for them to be okay.”

Thus said Anne Curtis when asked about the recent misunderstanding between Vice Ganda and Karylle during her launch as the endorser of luggage brand American Tourister on Monday, February 24.

Vice has  admitted in a press conference last week that there is a rift between him and Karylle over her fiancé Yael Yuzon’s comment about the singer-actress being paired up with comedian in their noontime show “It’s Showtime.”

Although the situation between the two “It’s Showtime” co-host can be “awkward,” Anne believes misunderstand among friends is normal.

“You know, it’s normal for friends naman to have a misunderstanding. What matters is, you’re able to patch it up. And I think they’re slowly getting there. So that’s a good thing,” she said.

The “Dyesebel” star also said: “Tampuhan happens but it only makes their relationship stronger after.”

Did the conflict between Vice and Karylle affect the other “It’s Showtime” hosts? “Syempre, awkward. But normal naman pa rin. We’re able to survive naman because we’re all friends and we know each other. Nagaasaran nga e, like, ‘Uy, pansinan na yan’,” Anne said.

At the end of the day, what they want for the two is “for them to be okay,” Anne added.

No conflict at all

Speaking of conflicts, Anne said everything is fine between her and Angelica Panganiban, the girlfriend of John Lloyd Cruz.

Many speculated there is also a rift between the two Kapamilya actresses. This is after Anne’s reported night club confrontation with John Lloyd last year. But Anne said the issue was merely exaggerated by the press.

“Hindi naman kami nagkaaway,” Anne said of Angelica.

She added: “Okay naman talaga kami. As in there’s no issue at all. Even with John Lloyd, walang issue at all. It’s really the press that made it exaggerated but super no issue at all.”

The 29-year-old actress already sent well wishes to John Lloyd after he figured in a minor bike accident last week.

Anne talked to press to promote American Tourister’s newest luggage collection—the strong ultra-lightweight Vivolite.

The Kapamilya actress is known for being a frequent and eclectic traveler. In fact, for the upcoming Holy Week, Anne is planning to go to Burma for a vacation.

“We always make a conscious effort that when we always travel to somewhere that would create a new adventure for us,” she said.

“I love seeing different culture in each country. I love tasting all the different food. I love interacting with locals as well. I love sightseeing; I love to see whatever it is in that country,” Anne added.
