Marian wins Best Foreign Artist of the Year in Vietnam

MANILA, Philippines- Marian Rivera was hailed the Best Foreign Artist of the Year in Today TV’s Face of the year 2014 Awards in Vietnam.

The Best Foreign Artist of the Year was chosen through voting.

In her Instagram account, Marian posted her photo Thursday, January 9, and thanked everyone who supported her in Vietnam.

In the photo’s caption she said: “My most gracious thanks to the Vietnamese audience for giving me the honor of being your Best Foreign Artist of the Year. It means so much to me that the Vietnamese have enjoyed my performances and my work. I will always strive to be even better to deserve your support. Hen Gap Cac ban… To I- Yu Cac Ban Vietnam.”

The caption’s last part when translated to English means, “see you, I love you Vietnam.”

Marian became popular in Vietnam after two of her primetime tele-seryes were aired there, “Dyesebel” and “Temptation of Wife.”

The Kapuso actress was not able to attend the awarding ceremony which was held Wednesday, January 8, because she’s busy taping her upcoming tele-serye “Carmela,” Philippine Entertainment Portal reported.

Marian recorded an acceptance speech that was played during the awarding.
