Ai Ai on being friends with ex-husband: ‘Pagdating ng panahon’

MANILA, Philippines – Ai Ai delas Alas said she is not yet ready to be friends with former husband Jed Salang.

“Siguro, pagdating ng panahon,” the Kapamilya star said in an interview with ABS-CBN showbiz talk show “Buzz ng Bayan” aired Sunday, December 8. “Mga five years, ten years from now.

Ai Ai said she’s not allowed to communicate with Salang, after she was granted a permanent protection order against her former husband. As previously reported, the 49-year-old actress is fixing the annulment of their marriage.

To recall, Ai Ai admitted separating from Salang May of last year, only a month after their civil wedding.

Asked what she learned from her failed marriage, she said: “Not to be too trusting.”

“Doon ko nga na-realize na siguro, move on, na hindi iko-close yung book but only turn the page,” Ai Ai explained.

Meanwhile, the Ai Ai denied reports romantically linking her to actor Lui Villaruz, who she worked with in an episode of the fantasy show “Wansapanataym,” after the comedienne admitted she has a crush on him.

The comedienne admitted she went out with the actor, but with the other cast members of “Wansapataym” including Cherry Pie Picache.

“Itong si (talent manager-TV personality) Ogie Diaz, dinalaw ako sa taping. Hindi ko alam na vini-video niya ako. Tinanong niya kung type ko si Edward. (Mendez, her co-star in ‘Kung Fu Divas’) Sabi ko hindi ko siya type kumpara kay Lui,” she explained.

“Hindi ko kasi type yung hindi chinito or mukang Hapon or mukang Chinese. Doon nag-start kasi sabi ko siyempre mas type ko si Lui.”
