MANILA, Philippines - Another CMMA awardee was Jose Mari Chan who bagged three of his four nominations: Best Secular Album for Going Home to Christmas (which is equivalent to the Album of the Year award), Best Inspiration Album (also for Going Home) and Best Secular Song (for Christmas Moments which is equivalent to Song of the Year Award).
Said Joe Mari, “It was a wonderful day made by God. This same week, my song Please Be Careful with My Heart is streaming prominently in the air because Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria got married in the ABS-CBN’s top teleserye and I was asked to sing the song at their reception. Coincidence of coincidences, in 1990 Please Be Careful with My Heart won the Best Musical Composition Award in the same Catholic Mass Media Awards. I have so much to be thankful for to the Holy Spirit, the Lord the Giver of Life and the Source of all talents.â€
