Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes in a relationship

MANILA, Philippines - Rumors linking Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes have been circulating since early this year. But is there really truth to the rumor?

According to entertainment website PEP.ph on Thursday, the Kapatid actor had admitted that he is in a relationship with Cristine.

On Thursday, Derek also responded to a follower on his official Twitter account who said, “Sorry but u really said that u keep in private ur next relationship, but for now u and Cristine ‘daw’ she's also fr showbiz

The actor replied, “I did say that I’ll never date someone from showbiz and that I’d never date Cristine coz she is a friend. I eat my words.”

Cristine talked to the entertainment media during the press conference for her upcoming primetime show “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” on Wednesday,

When asked about the status of her love life, she said: “Same pa rin. Single pa rin ako. I don’t know. Nag-i-entertain.” But the Kapamilya actress took back her words. “Nagsisinungaling lang ako, please. I-delete niyo iyon!”

On whether she and Derek are dating, Cristine asked members of the press to give her time to answer.

“Hindi ko pa alam kung paano sasagutin iyan sa ngayon. Dahil gusto ko kung magsasalita ako, yung sure na. Gusto ko yung sigurado na talaga,” she said.

Cristine added: “If ever man may sasabihin ako, yung sigurado na.”

Derek and Cristine worked together in the 2011 film “No Other Woman.” Derek broke up with girlfriend Angelica Panganiban last year, while Cristine and Rayver Cruz admitted they’ve ended their relationship last January.
