MANILA, Philippines - The competition gets tougher as Talentadong Pinoy Worldwide gears up for the highly anticipated Battle of the Champions. Each year, top Filipino talents from all over the country battle it out to compete in the grandest finals night in talent show history. This season, the stakes are higher as Talentadong Pinoy expands its reach to a more global scale. Filipinos from different parts of the world have auditioned and joined for a chance to be the next Ultimate Talentado.
Last Sunday, dance group Nocturnal wowed the talent scouts with their impressive Tinikling performance fused with hip-hop dance. The group seized a coveted spot to the Battle of the Champions as the first wildcard finalist. Tomorrow, July 21, several of the season’s best performers will return for a chance to win the last wildcard slot.
On July 28, Talentadong Pinoy Worldwide goes to Dubai for Talentadong Pinoy Middle East — the first international version of the widely popular talent show. Hundreds of Pinoy artists trooped to the series of auditions held in key cities in the Middle East, including Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riyadh, Jeddah and Dubai, displaying again how the show, while still very much Filipino, is truly world-class. Host Ryan Agoncillo and celebrity talent scouts Gelli de Belen, Marvin Agustin and Arnel Ignacio flew to Dubai for the historic finals.
Talentadong Pinoy Worldwide airs Sundays at 7:30 p.m. on TV5.
