Cesar Ramirez: Actor-muscleman

The handsome face and muscled physique of Cesar Ramirez, Mr. Luzon in the early ’50s, were his passport to the movies. Cesar was Bernardo Carpio (opposite wife Alicia Vergel), El Indio, Palasig, Tres Ojos, Ukala, Dumagit, action roles he did for Sampaguita.

But then the muscleman also starred in dramas, notably Gerry de Leon’s Huwag Mo Akong Limutin and Suicide Susy, which earned Cesar a Best Supporting Actor nomination from FAMAS.
