A recharged Generation RX

MANILA, Philippines - Viewers can expect more healthy options to live life to the fullest as Visivo Productions airs the new season of Generation RX on Feb. 16.

Executive producer Adrian Concepcion said the 30-minute program is all about healthy living while enjoying life’s pleasures without having to feel guilty.

Generation RX has been running on free TV for almost seven years. The show is hosted by Dr. Cecilia Catapang, ophthalmologist, and Dr. Rhoderic “Bong” Casis, neurosurgeon at St. Luke’s Medical Center and Medical City.

The hosts will be joined every week by segment hosts like Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas National president RJ Echiverri, Dr. Vicki Belo and Philippine Red Cross secretary general Gwendolyn Pang.

Generation RX airs Saturdays at 8 a.m. on Studio 23. Adrian said the new season will include informative yet new segments that viewers from all walks of life will enjoy.

Segments lined up include Never Give Up! where viewers will learn about the latest breakthroughs in medicine and the future of health care straight from the experts. Secrets of the Rich and Famous will satisfy viewers’ curiosity on how the rich and famous stay healthy and full of life.

Watch for a senator’s admission on the use of stem cell therapy for his longevity.

Belo will host Trends With Benefits. She will talk about the latest fads in beauty enhancements, the subject that she has become famous for. Her segment will feature topics such as painless and quick plastic surgery, weight loss without the sweat and waking up without having to put make-up on, among others.

In another segment, viewers can consult the Generation RX team. Viewers can send their questions via e-mail, social networking sites or text messaging.

The segment will also feature medical guests who will also discuss the latest health issues confronting the country or the world. Watch out for RJ’s segment My Barangay!

For viewers who love cooking or those who want to learn how to cook, watch La Mesa Jam. The segment will present cooking in an exciting and appealing way that will make viewers turn to their kitchens rather than dash to the nearest fastfood or restaurant for their next meal.

Get to know the oldest humanitarian organization in the world, the Philippine Red Cross through the Red Cross 143 segment, and get inspired to volunteer as Gwendolyn explains how the Red Cross 143 responds to the different disasters that ravage the country.
