Saint Pedro the musical at SPCP Complex Jan. 18

MANILA, Philippines - In honor of Fr. James B. Reuter, the High School Seniors 2013 of St. Paul College Pasig and the Sisters of St. Pauls Community are mounting the play Faith...Teen Saint Pedro, an Original Filipino Musical, which is about the young life of St. Pedro Calungsod of Cebu, tomorrow, Jan. 18 at the SPCP Complex of St. Paul College Pasig.

Calungsod is the second Filipino saint who was canonized last Oct. 21 at the Vatican City. Calungsod’s life is an example of what faith in the Lord can do, of how one’s life can move others and of how the glory of God can be honored.

Makisig Morales will play the role of Pedro, with Maliksi Morales as little Pedro; Cerrise Balatbat, Pedro’s mother; Bubi Camus, Padre Diego; Emer Guingon, Choco; Dayloe Ranario, Upe; Panyong Umaguing, Matapang; Gretchen Yaoyao, Alula; and the 29 AD Musicionaries. Music and lyrics are by Bob Serrano and Nonong Sampang, with most of the songs coming from the musical Scenes From a Martyrdom by Msgr. Rudy Villanueva. Fr. Peter Coching, SVD is special guest.
