MANILA, Philippines - From the writer of Goodfellas and featuring a powerhouse cast, Jack City’s newest drama promises to be an epic fight for power over Sin City. Airing Thursday nights at 8, Vegas is a drama based on the real-life story of former Las Vegas Sheriff Ralph Lamb, a fourth generation rancher who was tasked to bring order to Las Vegas in the ’60s.
Dennis Quaid stars as Ralph Lamb, a man determined to keep his town together when outsiders begin to come and corrupt the citizens’ fairly simple lives. When the murder of a casino worker becomes impossible for the local police to figure out, the mayor appeals to Lamb, a former military police officer, to look into it. The investigation ignites a conflict between Lamb and Vincent Savino (Michael Chiklis), a ruthless Chicago gangster with his own sinister plans of taking over Las Vegas.
Helping Lamb uphold the law are his two deputies: His brother Jack (Jason O’Mara) and his son Dixon (Taylor Handley). Joining the struggle to preserve justice is lawyer Katherine O’Connell (Carrie-Anne Moss), who grew up in the ranch next to Lamb’s.
Watch as these two men fight for one thing but for two very different reasons; one is on a mission to dominate and own Vegas, while the other tries to keep the peace and save the town he loves. Two powerful men, one town, and no backing down — who will win the battle?
