MANILA, Philippines - Today on Anderson Live, Mary Hamer, “guardian angel” of convicted killer Joran Van Der Sloots, talks about her forthcoming book which she co-wrote with the alleged killer. The crime which killed high school student Stephany Flores occurred in 2010, but it wasn’t until January this year that Van Der Sloot was sentenced to 28 years in prison. Since then, Hamer has shed over a hundred thousand dollars in cash to cover for Van Der Sloot’s legal fees, which she recently officially quit from, as stated in a letter she wrote addressed to President Barack Obama.
