MANILA, Philippines - Shangri-La Plaza showcases the beauty and diversity of music and film this month as it unveils its rich line-up of events and activities for the month.
On Sept. 25, experience another round of Italian film pleasures with the Shang’s ongoing special series, A Date with Italian Cinema @ the Shang, featuring renowned actor Marco Belocchio’s Vincere (Victory) — screening at 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., also at the Shang Cineplex, Level 6. Roughly based on the books Mussolini’s Marriage by Marco Zeni and Mussolini’s Secret Child by Alfredo Pieroni, as well as the documentary Mussolini’s Secret, Vincere is a compelling and eye-opening drama revolving around the little-known story of Benito Mussolini’s first wife.
The Ateneo Confucius Institute and Chinoy TV present Mid Autumn Festival on Sept. 30, from 12 noon at the Grand Atrium, Level 2, featuring laudable dance performances by Chinoy TV as well as the chance to win exciting prizes at the traditional dice game.
