Pretty boys all in a row

MANILA, Philippines - In an ambitious campaign never done nor achieved anywhere in the world, leading Filipino clothing brand Penshoppe rolls out its All Stars campaign featuring some of the world’s most popular and recognizable actors coming from both film and TV.

Headlined by Hollywood A-list superstar Zac Efron, with an all-star cast that includes global TV stars Ed Westwick and Ian Somerhalder and spiced up by Thai matinee idol Mario Maurer, the campaign works on the brand’s leveled-up image as a Filipino brand proudly worn by some of the world’s most sought-after stars.

“Penshoppe All Stars aims to gather some of the world’s biggest and most influential celebrities and style icons, all proudly sporting a 100-percent Filipino brand and introducing Penshoppe as a style authority to the rest of the world,” explains brand director, Alex Mendoza.

“Penshoppe has indeed made its way to the international style scene and we believe it will further even more with the launch of this unprecedented campaign,” he added.

Penshoppe has fittingly chosen Efron, one of the most internationally-recognized young celebrities in Hollywood, to lead its stellar All Stars line-up.

The 24-year-old A-lister, who fronts Penshoppe’s star-studded cast, “is probably the biggest star of his generation. From a pretty face who has won a lot of people’s hearts with his boyish looks and killer smile, Zac has grown into both a real artist as well as a role model,” said Mendoza on choosing Efron as the lead star in its 2012/13 campaign.

“Zac is also one of the most effortlessly stylish young men out there. He ultimately captures the young, hip, and trendy style Penshoppe very well represents,” the brand director added.

Efron is already seen wearing Penshoppe on major billboards sprawled across Metro Manila and is expected to visit the Philippines soon.

His visit will follow The Vampire Diaries actor Somerhalder, who flew in the country last May visiting the scenic Lagen Island in El Nido, Palawan for a location shoot as well as appearing at the SM Mall of Asia for Penshoppe Live commanding a legion of 6,000 ecstatic fans at the Atrium area in front of Penshoppe’s flagship store.

Meanwhile, Maurer and Westwick of Gossip Girl have separately made highly-publicized visits in the country earlier, all for Penshoppe.

“Zac is approximated to be the biggest star who is scheduled to set foot in the Philippines for a promotional campaign involving a clothing brand. We’re hoping his multitudes of fans across the country will be there to support him as Penshoppe’s next big thing,” Mendoza said.

“Zac and the other international endorsers under the All Stars campaign are just the tip of the iceberg,” he said. “There will be more and bigger names to come as we are still halfway finished. It’s going to be an epic year for Penshoppe and for many years moving forward.”

“The All Stars campaign is the grandest that Penshoppe has thought of in its 26 years in the business yet,” shared Mendoza. “The brand has so far received a lot of positive feedback especially on our social networking sites — nearing a million followers on Twitter and more than a quarter of a million likes on Facebook. I am proud to say we are fast becoming the most popular and well-loved clothing brand in the country,” he added.
