Historic P45.6M claim

MANILA, Philippines - Country Banker’s Life Insurance Corp. releases a check worth P45,627,000, the biggest claim paid so far in its 47-year history. The payment, with Metrobank check no. 0444493117 dated recently, was personally handed over to the Cooperative Rural Bank of Bulacan (CRBB) by Geraldine Desiderio-Garcia, CBLIC SVP and GM.

Witnesses for the receipt of the claim were representatives from CRBB (from left) Bienvenido Santos Jr., First VP of Car Financing and Mortgage Insurance; Nestor Custodio, GM; and Alvaro Alcaide Jr., EVP and compliance officer.

The insurance payment was for the Creditor’s Group Life (CGL) Insurance Coverage of the deceased borrowers of CRBB, Apolinario Bernabe and Ma. Teresita Bernabe who both died in a fatal vehicular accident.
