MANILA, Philippines - Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup graces this year’s celebration of the Philippine Arts Festival (PAF) 2012 as ambassadress for architecture.

Shamcey proves to be an epitome of a woman blessed with both beauty and brains. She topped the 2010 Architecture Licensure Examination.

Architect Gerard Lico, head of the National Committee for Architecture and Allied Arts and Supsup’s former professor, has nothing but praises to her. “We are happy, proud and honored that Shamcey is able to take on the role as NCCA’s Ambassadress for Architecture, her being a topnotcher in the Architecture Board, and a former student of the University of the Philippines. We believe that she will be able to help us promote not only the events of the Architecture committee, but the whole arts festival come February,” says Arch. Lico.

The PAF 2012 will be held in February in celebration of the 21st year of the National Arts Month. This is in pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 683 signed in 1991. The month-long festival is spearheaded by the NCCA, led by its chairman Felipe de Leon Jr. and OIC-executive director Adelina Suemith, with Marichu Tellano as head of the Planning, Policy Formulation and Programming Division.
