MANILA, Philippines - Monsoon Productions, the entertainment company that brought in acoustic sensation David Choi, is all set to bring in new pop sensation Clara C (photo). The L.A.-based singer and songwriter will be coming to Manila to shop, sing and meet more of her eight million YouTube viewers. She will be performing at the Music Museum on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
Clara has recently completed and released her debut album The Art Of My Heart. The 10-song collection is described by the OC Register as “full of original, heartfelt lyrics, unique, fun and clever arrangements,” KoreAm says. “It would be easy to dismiss her as a jack-of-all-trades, except she’s master of them all and has a melodic, husky voice to boot.”
Her music can best be described as a synergy of folk, pop and rock that when blended together creates a unique flavor that is best experienced live. Clara performed the songs from The Art Of My Heart in front of an estimated 70,000 people last year receiving multiple TV placements and high praise from the media. The most popular cuts from the CD are Heartstrings, Offbeat and The Camel Song.
Clara C, who has recently appeared in Showtime and MTV America, will embark on her inaugural Asia Pacific Tour with Monsoon Productions this month and in December. This makes her the first female YouTube artist to headline an international multi-city tour in this region. Tickets to the show are priced at P1,236, P978.50 and P772.50.
