MANILA, Philippines - Art 2 Art continues to bring “usapang sining at kultura para sa lahat” as its host Lisa Macuja interviews personalities from various art disciplines this month.
Produced by the Manila Broadcasting Company, Art 2 Art is aired nationwide every Sunday, 3:30 to 4 p.m., on DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), and can be viewed simultaneously on Cablelink cable television’s Channel 9 and accessed on the Internet through the website http://dzrh.tripod.com.
Art 2 Art recently received its second Golden Dove trophy from the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas for Best Radio Program for Culture and Arts.
After featuring visual artist and writer Igan D’Bayan last Nov. 6, Art 2 Art bares the rest of its lineup for the month: Today, project director Marichu Belarmino-Cariño and Zaida Pullido, principal of Holy Spirit National High School, discuss the Philippine Educational Theater Association’s Advocate Right to Safety (ARTS) Zone project. On Nov. 20, Pinoy baritone Andrew Fernando shares what life is like as a US-based opera singer who gets invited to perform with leading orchestras all over the world. On Nov. 27, National Artist tribute focuses on the late director Ishmael Bernal whose critically-acclaimed films include Himala, Nunal sa Tubig, Manila By Night and Hinugot sa Langit. Ed Cabagnot, head of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Visual, Literary and Media Arts Department, serves as resource speaker.
