When in Albay, one can never go wrong with coconut milk and this was proven with Ivan Ricafranca’s 5-Spice Chicken Wings sa Tanglad at Gata. His lip-smacking combination of chili and mussels in Anghang Tahong is also a must-try. Villena’s special Bicolano recipes, meanwhile, include Bicol Express Pasta and Nilasing na Sugpo sa Ensaladang Mangga. Pili nut, in turn, is Jomel Macinas’ main ingredient in his Pili Beef Curry.
Poliran’s food adventure yielded two flavorsome kitchen wonders in Chicken Malunggay Pesto Pasta and Stir Fried Oregano Chicken with Lemony Chickpea. Meanwhile, Chuck used Lepte, a native fish in Bohol, in his Sesame Crusted Lepte in Miso-Mustard Sauce. And Anto’s Chili Cumin Red Tilapia with Cucumber Salsa is simply a unique culinary treat.
Cebu is famous for its flavorful lechon and local personality Mary Janzhell showcases it further through her Mexican Lechon Sub recipe. Dried pusit, another Cebuano delicacy, takes the spotlight in Jeryl’s Squid Fried Stuffed Vegetable.
