MANILA, Philippines - That must be the big question in everybody’s mind during the 45th birthday celebration of Sen. Bong Revilla at the ballroom and poolside of the Diamond Hotel last Sunday. You know: Is Sen. Bong eyeing the vice presidency in 2016?
The rumor actually started in 2010 when Bong was mentioned as possible running-mate of the administration bet Gibo Teodoro, and it was revived recently when Manny Pacquiao admitted in an interview that he was “interested” in running for vice president in 2016, only to correct himself because he’s too young to aspire for the position. Also being rumored to be a vice-presidential ‘timber’ is Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos, likewise bruited about last year as among those short-listed as Gibo’s running-mates.
Asked by Funfare about the ‘possibility,’ Sen. Bong only smiled, adding that his third term is ending in 2016.
