Geoff Eigenmann’s romantic relationship with Carla Abellana is sailing smoothly on calm waters. In fact, their sweetness extends to the small screen through the Jude and Pilar characters they play on GMA 7’s Magic Palayok which wraps up today, with more delightful and exciting twists.
There were even scenes in the afternoon series’ past episodes showing the reel and real-life sweethearts professing love for each other. Televiewers also witnessed how Geoff, on bended knees, asked Carla to be his wife. But could the “marriage proposal scene” be not far behind off cam? Are Geoff and Carla ready to swap “I do’s” for real?
“There are times when we get to talk about marriage but nothing is serious yet,” Geoff says. “We’re just like thinking of getting old together and sometimes asaran lang but nothing is definite. I know that the right time will come for that.”
After all, both still have lots of things to do before settling down. Enjoying each day with Carla is enough to inspire Geoff to work harder as an actor. He is thankful to be given projects that display his thespic talent — from Rosalinda and Basahang Ginto, both heavy drama, to Magic Palayok, a TV series that has a romantic comedy twist.
“The atmosphere on the set (of Palayok) is always bright. We laugh, play a little and do our parts well as we work. Direk Joel (Lamangan) is really strict but since we do our jobs well, he is always happy with the outcome. We all have fun on the set,” he shares.
After Magic Palayok, Geoff is prepping up for his next project: Hosting a reality show. He’s still mum about the show details but with a little bit of nudging, Geoff tips off that “it’s a franchise.”
Prior to accepting the new task, the Kapuso network, he says, let him choose between starring in a new drama series and hosting a reality show.
“I chose the reality show because it is a new challenge for me. I want to do it and after, I can still go back to doing a drama series.”
He has started hitting the gym more often to stay fit and slim. More fruits, too, are a must in his diet. Of course, he never misses to check on his family and friends when his schedule permits.
Find out how Geoff productively spends his day from the time he wakes up until he hits the sack:
5:30 or 6 a.m. — I wake up if my call time is early. Prepare my things and get myself ready. I take a bath and dress up. I don’t eat breakfast.
7 a.m. — Leave the house (Parañaque area) and go straight to the set.
8 or 9 a.m. – I’m on our location (in Quezon City) and usually, I eat my first meal there. Then, work starts.
12 noon. — Lunchtime. I eat heavy — rice and viand.
1 p.m. until 10 p.m. — It’s work, work and work.
I just take in-between snacks usually sweets. I love mocha cake.
After work, I go home.
1 or 2 a.m. — I’m insomniac so I get to sleep so late even when I get home early. Sometimes, the sun is already rising when I start to fall asleep.
On a free day:
By lunchtime — I wake up around that time because I slept late. I take my brunch.
Then after, either, I just stay home, bond with my family or visit my friends. Of course, there is enough time for Carla. I pick her up in her place or we meet somewhere else, go to the gym together. Sometimes, we watch movies or go malling.
