MANILA, Philippines- The event attracted crowds of frenzied fans who wanted to catch a glimpse of the powerhouse cast of Amaya headlined by Marian Rivera together with Rochelle Pangilinan, Sef Cadayona and La Diva.
Local Kapuso celebrities Chuck Allie and Resci Rizada warmed up the audience with on-ground performances and various games. Sef was the first to go on stage and serenaded the ladies with Someday We’ll Know. He then displayed his effortless dancing prowess via a remix of the hottest dance hits that drew loud cheers. Sef, who is part of Sayaw Pilipinas of the Sunday musical-variety show Party Pilipinas, will be seen next in the network’s first-ever Danceserye.
The singing trio of Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos and Maricris Garcia — collectively known as La Diva captivated Dabawenyo fans with their powerful renditions of Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan and Rihanna’s Only Girl in the World. They brought the house down with their version of Guy Sebastian’s Angels Brought Me Here with the crowd singing along.
Cheers became louder when Rochelle went on stage and showed off her booty-shaking dance moves and performed her hit single Baile. The spectators went all agog when she picked a young guy out of the audience to dance with her.
But the ear-deafening roars from screaming fans erupted when Marian appeared and took the centerstage. When she started singing, the crowd jumped on their seats, went crazy and even shouted her name. She gamely posed for pictures with her excited fans and even shook hands with them.
Marian will soon be winning the hearts of Filipinos all over the country with her captivating portrayal of Philippine primetime’s most awaited warrior princess Amaya. The high-budgeted program is the network’s most expensive and grandest TV production to date which is set to premiere on May 30 on GMA Telebabad.
To cap off the successful mall show, Kapuso stars took the stage once more to personally thank the audience for their warm welcome and invited them to support Amaya and the rest of GMA programs.
