Musical artists to give back music to their roots

MANILA, Philippines - In paying back debt of gratitude for honing their musical talents by art teachers and masters since they were young in their respective origins to being accomplished artists here and abroad, Armie Zuñiga and piano prodigy Nelson Olalde, both from Calauag, Quezon and seasoned saxophonist and flutist Pete Canzon who hails from Lopez, Quezon will perform for their town mates in a concert aptly billed Masters & Diva Homecoming on Black Saturday, April 23 at Big Boy Recreational Hub in General Vicente Yngente Street formerly Calle Anda, Lopez, Quezon.

A night of jazz, soul, blues, inspirational and mellow music will sooth and sanctify lethargic spirit during the Lent season.

Zuñiga, a wide range of musicality can sing Latin beat like samba, Bossa Nova and traditional ballroom music to Whitney Houston, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, etc. while Olalde can play the piano from Bach to George Gershwin and Canzon who started his musical career in 1973 with Bong Peñera’s Batucada Band and who is now Freddie Aguilar’s Watawat Band sax player can blow the instruments with grace.

Lending support to the show are engineer and Mrs. Manny Argante, Dr. Nestor de la Rosa, Ted Tejada, Madam Suzette Arandela of Gumaca, Quezon, UNTV, UK Derm Pharma, Boy Abunda, Zeny Marcelo-Poe, Centerstage Productions and Ronald Constantino of Unisan, Quezon.
